Default 08 cvo speaker options

Looks like I have 5 1/4 speakers but I see people putting larger speakers in does that require cutting ,,
Looking to take out my stock radio and putting in a after market , like to change speakers and maybe a amp if I don't break the bank

5.25 to 6.5 adaptors are very common. No cutting required.

If you are going to upgrade the radio and speakers go ahead and start planning on adding an amp. Even a budget amp at 100.00 will make all the difference in the world. Honestly I wouldn't even consider upgrading speakers if I there wasn't an amp involved. What's your budget, and how many speakers are you installing.

Exactly what haze said.. Amp is pretty much necessary. Some are really budget friendly these days.. Spend the extra money now and get it all done once, you will thank yourself

Yeah That!!
We have a budget friendly " Starter Kit" on the forum that produces 10x better sound than the stock system!! Reason I say starter is because most guys are never satisfied with their first upgrade. It's in our nature man!! We always want more stuff!! Lol!!!

Here's the thing: If we are talking "Budget friendly" there may be some concessions you will have to make. If you want to keep FM radio for example. The best and cheapest amp to do that is the Rockford PBR300X2 amp paired with the Infinity 62.11i speakers. If FM is not an issue a better budget friendly set up would be the Cerwin Vega B54 amp bridged to the Biketronics 7.1 speakers for a two speaker set up.

You stated you had an 08 CVO is this an Ultra or SG? and what sound system do you have on it presently?

If you want to amp all 4 speakers and keep FM you're looking at 4 amps.

1. Biketronics 4180
2. Arc Moto 600.4
3. Rockford Fosgate TM400X4ad
4. Rockford Fosgate PBR300X4

If you want to go the cheapest route your looking at the Rockford Fosgate PBR300X4 and two sets of kicker KSC67 speakers.

How is it that you have a CVO Ultra and no rear speakers?
