Default Joystick removal?

I have a 14 FLHTP and was wanting to add the joystick from a cilivian bike to the police hand control that is if it is removable.
Does anyone know if the joystick can be removed?
I am wanting to keep the police controls and add the joystick to the blank spot on the left controler. Once again that is if it can be removed from a cilivian bike.

Don't know if this will help or not. I needed to add the PTT button to my 15 ultra non ltd so I could turn the vox off(too sensitive at highway speed to use) and use PTT for the intercom. HD has the rear passenger PTT button but no PTT for handle on bikes that come without a CB. I had to buy a whole now complete switch pack, couldn't just add the button.

On pre Rushmore bikes, you could buy a set of take off controls from a street or ultra glide, along w a civilian wiring harness and plug it all in to a aftermarket HU w a handlebar controls adapter. But I'm not sure how that works on the 2014+models due to the can bus system, it should be similar, but I honestly don't know the details
