Default CB and Intercom

Ok, what did I leave out or do wrong. I have no controls for the passenger after installing my CB and Intercom. I actually had a Harley dealer check it out but they said it was ok but the back controls do not work. The volume says mute for the rear and sometimes the volume controls the various options (AM, FM, Weather, ACC etc) instead of the volume. Volume controls do not control volume there is one level. I can get it to play music but sometimes have to turn it on and off to get it to work. I have not tried intercom yet. Thanks for your help. I am going to Sturgis today, took it back to Harley yesterday and they did not have time to look at it, and frankly not too excited about their expertise. Is there a way to get the mute off of the rear, I just plugged everything in no motification? Oh I have a 2011 Street Glide.

Have you checked the squelch setting?

This is purely a shot in the dark, but on my ultra, I have a "speaker" switch in the dash (with spot/acc/cruise) and its a three position switch. It needs to be in position "3" for the passenger to have the ability to use their controls. Also when I had the NIM connected to my garmin, that same switch had to be in position 2 or 3 for the garmin to come through the stereo...

X2 with MontyCop05 Plus when you turn on the CB it will go to setup mode this is where you set the volume and squelch for the CB. Once done hit the right control once to return to normal radio control

Ok now with some miles behind me with my radio and intercom. When I turn on the radio I have to switch the switch from 2 to 3 to get the back to work if already in top (3) position it will not work unless I switched back and forth. There are no volume controls for passenger for intercom or radio. Also when cb is on and someone breaks in on cb the rear stops working and I have to toggle the switch again to get it to work. Any ideas?
