I'm a little confused as to why I cannot turn up the volume for my passenger headset on my 01 UC. PTT and volume down works just fine. also mode up on the other side dosent work. mode down however does. I don't really care about the mode button back there, I just really want the volume to work properly. its not the headsets cuz I tried them on my buddies 2011 UC and his switch works up and down.
Have to make the adjustment from the passenger controls. Turn on radio and adjust radio volume from the rear. Turn CB if you have one and squelch on then adjust CB volume from the rear. Then intercom you need to be talking as it's adjusted from the rear. So each component has to adjusted individually while it's on.
Guess I should have read the whole thing through

The switches in the back won't turn volume up. Only turning it down. So are you telling me to flip the cb toggle and the try to turn it up?
Just a thought, seeing that both switches are not working in the UP position, is it possible that both switches got water in them causing them to fail. It sounds odd that both switches would fail at the same time and in the UP position. I would try spraying some electrical contact cleaner or maybe WD-40 into both switches. A cheap fix if it works.
Thank you for your reply. The volume switch is brand new from HD dealer. Replaced it and still didn't work. I'm going to call the HD dealer tomorrow and ask them some questions cuz I'm starting to think the radio may be bad. Even tho everything works except up for volume and mode.
