Default boom audio ipod interface not recognized on stero

Hi

Just installed the Boom Audio Ipod interface on my 2013 FLHX.

Went well enough apart from the fact that the Ipod doesn't come up on the radio as an option (so no evidence I've installed the kit) - don't know what I've done wrong or if I've got a dud unit.

The connections into the 35 pin connector on the back of the radio where:

#8 tan/red
#19 violet/gray
#31 tan/blue
#4 red/blue
#27 black/blue

I've heard some say the install instructions have been wrong in the past.

Checked the front of the 35 pin connector and I can see all the wire ends.

Plugged and unplugged a few times.

If I need to take the wires I've put into the 35 pin connector out, what do I do?

Anybody got any ideas -
