Default display not turning on my sony radio

finally installed my sony radio and my display didnt turn on, is this a ground issue? I put the hawg wired adapter on as well dont know if this could be the issue as well hoping ultra nutz has a golden answer

ah sorry didn't see this....

make sure your fuse on your yellow wire is good. Check the connections for the yellow wire going into the radio.

im confused by what you mean by yellow fuse?

sorry I was thinking something else. The Sony harness that comes with the radio has a fuse on the yellow wire. That harness is not used when dealing with the BT or HW handlebar control devices.

The face of the unit, make sure it's seated properly. If those contacts aren't making a good connection when you close the face, it will not power up...

thats all good , still no go , I really think I have a ground issue cause now nothing is working

to test the ground theory you can simply take a piece of wire, touch one end of the wire to the case of the radio, the other end to a good solid ground and see what happens.

other than the ground theory above you need to check the red wire going into the radio that it has power when you switch the ignition off and on. and you need to check that the yellow wire going into the radio has constant +12v on it.
