What adapters are you using? When I lined up the pioneers with Vtwin adapters they were off and new holes were needed.

Just make sure the speak is centered in the opening and drill new holes in speak frame or pilot holes in the mounting bracket.

It really is pretty jacked up that u have to fabricate this shix after forking over a shix ton of cash. This is the 3rd different manufacture dick weed screw up I have heard of this week. Come on cycle shops!!!!! Let's at least get the basic shix right like a 6x9 opening and holes that match!!!!!!!!

If I remember correctly the BadDad lid adapters are made for specific speakers JL I think. I was having issues with them not fitting Hertz HCX 690's and after a lot of back and forth on this forum they made me a set of adapters for the Hertz. If you can get them to send you a set they would probably fit the Pioneer but Vtwin or American Hardbag adapters would work better.

I wouldn't go without the tether, you could damage the bags. Most use one of the speaker scews to attach the tether.

It's hard to see in the pics but it looks right from what I can make out. You might have a clearance issue closing the lids using the BD adapters and the size of the Pioneer magnets. If you do I'd suggest the adapters discussed before.
