D_catelow: PM me if you you are interested in Pioneer HU for less than the ones suggested my friend Gann suggested. I got my DEH-X9500BHS sitting in the box here. was on the bike for 18 months or so and never seen rain (virtually not possible in Vegas). cool part about this one is the usb ports are both at the rear - I ran an extension usb to under the seat (obviously it will come along) so out of the view.
comes with EVERYTHING. has more EQ options than an average deck (I recall 7 band but might be off)
other than me wanting to fiddle around more with EQ (got X998 now) there was no need for me to upgrade (but I did )

Are the arc Moto 602's a better setup for the fairing then the mmats, and horns? Could I use the pn4.1000d and run the Moto's until winter then add two speakers to lowers? If so what speaker works well with that?

If you can get a good deal on the head unit from AAWAV if go with the DD D4 AW6.5 BT30 (to save a little) and with that you might be happy enough with just that. If you do end up adding lowers there are some micro amps you'll be able to fit in the fairing with the D4. Slye has an Arc 600.4 and a TM400 amp in his fairing with an amp tray he built. There are a couple shops selling dual amp tray setups as well.

Just my $0.02.

I have decided my route, and now need to know exactly what other parts I will need. This is my first attempt with and radio upgrade. Here is what I know please fill in the rest, so I can get to ordering
Pioneer head unit
DD D4 amp
Moto 602'
Scoshe hand controls, and mounting kit, with splash guard.
6.5 pod adaptors

What guage amp wiring kit?
Rca cable?
Speaker wires?
Anything else?

Thanks

believe it or not, when you have all the supplies at hand, that about as close to a plug n play system as uour gonna get, except your getting a top line system at a fantastic price compared to packaged systems

All the parts are coming in this week. Started tearing apart, and had a few questions.
Is this wiring from the boom speakers going to be what I use, or do I need to remove and start over?
Does the inline fuse holder hide best down in front of the battery?
The RCA stated above... Will I need one or two of these?

Thanks
