Ready to Upgrade $500-$700 budget
Bike is a 2012 SG, and I would like to do this once. Seems impossible after reading through these threads! From what I have read it sounds like the DD AW6.5's with AT28 tweeters is the go to set up. takes up a lot of my budget, so I was wondering what is a good amp for this, and two more speakers later. Is there a system more for my style of riding for less? I will almost always be on the highway, and never sitting and just listening.
Want: loud and clear full range sound from each sound stage at 80 mph.
- $500-$700 Price range
-will eventually get lowers, so 4 channel amp
-like to listen to: 90’s alternative, Classic rock, Metal, ocassionally rap
-Head unit: stock
Open to all helpful input. Thanks in advance!

With the soundstream set up I'd go MMATS in the upper and lower fairing with the VOB3 horns and switch out the HU to aftermarket. This set up CAN be done for $700.

soundstream amp and mmats is a damn strong, clear setup brother
add that with a good aftermarket hu and try not to smile

i have decided to go with a tunable amp. The truth is you will not get the bass out of this system that you will out of the AW's. However - this system kicks *** up and down on the stock system all day long. I can hear it loud and clear at 80MPH. I had it for two years and really enjoyed it. You don't really hear the bass anyway at 80mph. As they say it depends what your end game is. On a budget I think it is a good system and they have the best warranty.
