well, if your replacing hu and a new amp, your hu will connect to ur amp with RCA cables, and ur amp will connect to ur new speakers with new speaker wires
locate inline fuze near battery on pos side under seat

You don't want to use any of the stock wiring. The DD D4 amp has two channel inputs. Only requires one set of RCA's for a two speaker set up. I'd go ahead and purchase two sets. You're gonna need em next month for your upgrade. Lol!!

Correct. Fuse holder in front of the battery.

I'm sure your right. I'll be ordering lids, or lowers this winter.

This unit does not say True RMS, but has AC reader. ive never used one of these, just making sure this unti will do what I need for tuning?

If you are thinking about lids in the future do yourself a favor and run the wires from the fairing back the the battery area while you have the tank off. Tie them up and tuck out of the way some place. Also if you even remotely think about a amp in the bags you may want to run a remote wire also.
