Default Track Editing

flcusat mentioned that he edits the tracks on his song list to get rid of the dead space at the beginning and end of each song. Could someone steer in the rite direction to do this.

TIA
Brad

I will post some guide lines tomorrow.
Meanwhile google Audacity and download it.
There is probably an easier way to do it, but this software is extremely powerful and surprisingly free.

I think this old video from youtube will do a better job than I will, explaining how to do it.
I haven't watch the whole video, but I just watched to the point where shows you how to edit a track to get you going.
Watch from 11:15 to 11:46 and it will show you how to delete a portion of the track.
When you have a blank you pretty much have a flat line. What I do is to cut must of the flat line. Then zoom in to cut it even more to the starting and finish points of the song. At the finish point you might want to use the fade out under effects to smooth the end of the song.
I hope this helps. Shoot back if you have any questions.
