Default DSP in HU vs External DSPs

For those of you running an external DSP like the Arc PSM or the JL TWK88. Do you bypass the DSP settings on on your HU?
The 998 has the option of Through or Bypass the DSP.

I don't see a point on doing that.
I will assume that you will bypass the DSP on the HU and let the dedicated DSP to do the hard work.

Pick one or the other NOT BOTH! I'd suggest going with the one that gives you the most settings that YOU want to tune from. Just because an external DSP has a ton more settings and adjustability, the built in one may give you want you want. Try it first.
More settings doesn't always merit better sound.

I agree with you, but what is the point of using an externl DSP if you can achieve what you want with the DSP at the HU?

If you have a HU like the 998 with all coaxial speakers, you might no benefit from an external DSP.
In the other hand if you are running all components, an external DSP and multiple amps to give every driver their own channel will give you more flexibility to tune the system and make it sound better.

That's what my point was, no need in it. If it sounds great to you with the internal DSP then the goal is accompiolshed.
