Default Thoughts and advice on JL Audio Fix-86

Hello, been reading up on upgrading my stock speakers, add speaker lids and an 4- channel amp on my 2015 Harley street glide special. I want to keep the oem HU. I'm gonna do the install myself so looking at Biktronics or ARC audio kits. I was initially looking at J&M audio but like I said was reading up on stuff and now that one is off the table.... I understand the line levelers needed to help flatten the EQ curve programmed into the HU. I also under stand "flashing" as another option to flatten the EQ.

So my question is, what do you guys think about the JL Audio Fix-86 or 82? Anyone have experience with it? Can this be used to flatten the EQ curve and adjust stuff digitally? No sure if this would be a viable fix but any audio expertise is welcome. Thanks fellas....

Be prepared to cut and cram. I only ran the Fix-86 for a short period in my 2015 SG, but i thought it was a good step up from the BT-355s. It's simple to setup and now there is a little more flexibility with an EQ and what not. I still like it for a setup using 2 or less amps with full range speakers. Reach out to Tesnevo, he has been usung the chit out of them. The pic is of the stock tray and what needs to be removed for the Fix-86 to fit.

The fix is an exceptional unit for what your wanting to do BUT as was stated above, installation on a street glide is a bitch. Realistically you've got these options; installation in the fairing will require heavy modification (see matt76cmich post above-install in saddlebag which will require extensive wiring-install an arc psm in the fairing (due to its small size it's a better fit and will not require any modifications to the fairing itself HOWEVER it comes with a rather steep learning curve or just install 2 BT LL's.
Personally speaking, in your application I'd do the BT LL's and be done with it. If your set on a DSP (for better tuning and eq abilities) I'd say your better of fitting a arc DSP in there buddy.
