Best speaker wire??
Sorry I have another question. Is it better to solder connections, crimp, or both? I like to only use silver solder in other applications but wondering how it will work for bike audio?
Agree^^but I always use heat shrink crimp connectors. If I can't find a particular size female blade connector with heat shrink, then I use heat shrink tubing with it. As far as wire I probably go overboard, but use 16 on tweeters, 14 on horns, 12 on mid drivers, and 10 on subs.
I like the Stinger RCA's for all my installs. As Moto Mike stated KnuKonceptz are great RCA's as well. Can't go wrong with either.
I didn't realize you could use speaker wire for your power and ground. I'll have to give that a go on the next stuff I install. Does it all hold up well and no problems?
You would be surprised how many bikes I've torn apart and the soldered connections have come apart. Takes some skill to make a good soldered connection. Not for everybody. That's why I prefer crimping as well. Crimped connections very seldom come apart. Good info cpbedor!!! If you crimp and heat shrink as BaggerBill stated. You will have a good solid connection!!

That's debatable just like anything else.. I'm sure some of these guys have a some expensive tools lol.. I however have this and it works just fine for me.. As opposed to the cheap thin red handled crimp tool that I have several of https://www.walmart.com/ip/Titan-Ratcheting-Wire-Terminal-Crimper-11477/17253137?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=876&adi d=22222222228016743859&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=m&wl3=759742 69234&wl4=aud-310687322322
