I thought people liked the DD better sound-wise why did you feel the Focal was more to your liking ?

Wait for others to chime in SoZo before you do anything. I have the DD AW setup and love it, but no experience with anything else to help.

If you have a batwing, you'll need the Biketronics speaker brackets to replace the factory pods.

 

If ur committed to a 2 speaker setup then the JL400 bridged and AW6 is without question the way to go.
Shop for different tweeters. The AT28 are good tweets but in no way worth the DD retail cost. Take the money u save there and get the BT pod eliminator brackets as u will have to get a bit creative installing the AWs with the HD Pods. Not worth the energy.

The focals are expensive boutique speakers that are very finicky on a bike and blow very easily if you're not careful. They have to be tuned just right. The SQ you gained is lost in the wind and you find yourself turning up the volume at 70 mph to hear the same SQ you heard when the bike was sitting still. Eventually they will blow and you're wondering what the hell happened. Fact is they can't sustain long periods of volume on a motorcycle. I ran 6 K2's at one time on my bike and blew every last one of them. replaced em and blew em again.

They sound really good as long as you don't try to get too much volume out of em. They are more suited for a car. The AW's with the AT28 tweeters on the other hand are much more durable on our bikes than the focals. For that reason I would go with the AW/JL set up all day long. That JL 400/4 bridged are gonna make those AW's sing. Just my experience with the focals.

 

Any other speaker that hangs with these for less cost ?
I dont mind the outlay if the AW6.5 AT28 if they rock but just wondering bang for the buck speakers that hang with them ?

AND who can I purchase the DD Audio from online ???

DD does not authorize "on-line" sales. They are pretty hard core regarding their brick and mortar business model i.e. customer support/service standards.
