Haze, let me ask you another question since you are the PRV guru..... the 6mr200A in some lowers, based on their specs, would they work without the "need" for horns? PRV's site has them running all the way up to 11kHz(which is odd considering their predecessors only show to hit 9500kHz). I am trying to get away on a Road King without having to run horns up front in a set of lowers. I've got horns and a mid bass going in the bags..... but trying to be simple in the lowers.

Will running 6mb250's in fairing and lowers give clear loud sound like mmats?

 

Just installed 6mb250`s in lowers. They sound okay I`m thinking a set of mmats will give me better sound.

 

I ended up sucking it up and grinding down a set of 6MR500-NDY's.... glad I did!

 

Save ur $$ till u can get into a higher tier speaker. Mmats are kind of a luv - hate speaker. My ears don't find much bang for the buck w that speaker thus make sure u get ur ears on some before u go there.

I like the Mmats 601's, not as much as i like the 6MR500's but way more than the 6MR250's. i just did a side by side with them and the timpano's and rockvilles for my tp pods. they acutally slam pretty good in the lowers with proper tuning, power and some polyfill.

Exactly why the OP should do everything possible to get his ears on this stuff. I would not put the 6MR250s on anything. Then the order for me would prob be the Mmats as second to last and the Rocks and the Timpanos would be a toss up depending on what I was trying to compliment or achieve.
We all have very different systems, playlists, riding styles, etc.
Take ur time OP!!!! Let ur ears be the guide.
