Thank you sir. I'm thinking about getting a dsp but not sure how much it can add. As we all know, a vid off an I phone just doesn't do the setup justice.

Shoot if my system sounded like that I never would have gotten a DSP! Are you running the 6.5s with just a high pass filter or do you have some type of crossover on them?

PS could you give us a photo of how the horns are mounted? I doubt if I will ever use them because I want to stick with marine rated stuff but I still like to get the details of what folks are doing.

Here is a pic of the horns. I really like them. No cross over, just a high pass capacitor running parallel with the fairing speakers.

Ron I like these better than the alt 08's and they are small enough to fit a grill without much modification. I believe these with a set of sv's would work in a factory fairing pod.

Thanks for the pic Gypsye. I was wondering about the crossover method for the Hertz 6.5s. I think it said they were good up to 10KHz on their site. Do you just have them wired straight into the amp with all frequencies in the upper range present or do you have them capped at 10KHz somehow?

I like them better too. I have them in the grills and still have the Alt horns on the outside turned down almost all the way. I think they sound better in the grill, just doesn't look as clean.

Much better in the grill area brother. Imho ur just not getting the right blend / compliment with them way out on the top of the wing. Plus the environment tends to create a bit more inconsistency in sound as the riding conditions change.

They do look good out there though.

I on the other hand like the separation as the sound distribution is more like a true component setup vs. in the grill sounds more like a coax to me. At speed it is hard to tell the difference, sitting still it provides a broader area of sound distribution. I used the jarz pods so no holes were made on the inner fairing as once you drill holes out, you can never go back. I can take these out and go back to stock mirrors with no problems. It may not be for everyone but I like it and the bema horns.
