Cruising to work had the tunes cranked at about 5-6 and just like that right speaker goes silent then a few seconds later the left starts crackling and looses volume but not completely. At first I thought it was the amp or LL and honestly was hoping it was as they are both still under warranty. Bought the speakers new from a forum member so no warranty.
System is JL MX500/4 LL and ARC Motos. It sounded awesome for the last10 months, they just went without any indication at all. No distortion.Thought the ARC's could handle lots of power. Ive had them louder before with no issues.
So what would everyone recommend as .a comparable replacement sound wise?
you might consider testing each speaker with an ohm meter, and see if the have a reading or just read open circuit. where did you buy them? the reason i ask is if you bought them from an authorized dealer, you might get some support from ARC, they have always been pretty easy for me to deal with.

Go back to the OP's 1st post and read it please. My mom always told me there's a reason we have 2 ears and only 1 mouth. Lol
DSM,
why do you want to spank me? i'm only human and miss things from time to time too, the important part of the post was testing the speaker. i NOW know there is no warranty, but i was just trying to help, not to bash.
