Default Stock radio and speakers watts output on 09 Ultra Classic

Hi All,

Was think of upgrading my radio and speakers. (09 Ultra). Does anyone know what the watts per speaker is? A dealer was saying 75 watts per speaker would be good but I was thinking a little more powerful. Just trying to see what the different would be with what he was saying.

Thanks
Hickey

For starters, the range of speakers, (and how many watts they require) is so broad that anyone who tells you that "75 watts is enuf", doesn't really know what he is talking about.
A pair of pro-audio (PA) speakers may perform extremely well at 75 watts, yet a pair of coaxials may require 2x that to shine.

Keep asking questions and get informed before you make any purchases

yooperhog,

He was saying that they are DB drive wdx 6.5 and DD dx 6.5 with a DD d4.75 amp. I'd like to go with a bigger amp.. that puts out more watts(maybe around 100 watts per channel). But I was wondering what the difference would be.

Thanks

the DBDrive are very sensitive(efficient), and 75w may be enuff to drive them sufficiently,
I have not dealt with those DD speakers or that particular amp.
