Default Anyone using Hogtunes

Anyone using hogtune speakers in their Ultra. If so do I need the amp or is the stock radio on the 09 Ultra strong enough to get good sound. Thinking about the pod and all 4 speakers.

I swapped out directly without an amp. Had the J & M's, and they were just noisier -- not distinct in their low, mid and high ranges. When I put on the Hogtunes, the highs are now crisper, the bass fuller, and the mid's just where they need to be. I actually find myself turning down the volume as the speed of the bike increases -- have it set to auto adjust. Sooo, unless you are looking to add speakers or just want more power, I'd say you're good to go on the swap.

I went with Hawg Wired speakers and amp and have been blasting away on the highway with great sound. Definitely worth it!

i'm just using the hogtunes tweeter pod, and am very impressed with how they even work with the stock harley front speakers. one of these days though i may look into getting hogtunes main speakers and their amplifier. but for now, the hogtunes tweeter pod setup with the stock speakers work much better than before.

Hogtunes started with a small order of 250 speakers and is now the #1 player...26 countries and growing. Top notch, reasonably priced components with warranty/customer service second to none. DRAG ordered over 15,000 Hog Pods alone this year!

Well I figured as long as I had to remove the fairing to install the pod, I might as well put the front speakers in also. Dont have to take the fairing off the second time that way. Maybe with the pod and the two front speakers, I might not need the rear ones for the OL
