'18 Street Glide Intercom!?
Hello!
I ride an '18 Street Glide Special. I am hoping to have my wife and kids take more rides with me (not all at the same time
). What are some ways you suggest to get communications with the passenger, besides turning my head. It's hard to hear at speeds with a helmet and even harder when they wear a full face helmet.
Thanks,
P

What has your dealer said? I mean about the first place I'd ask is a dealer to see what they say about installing communication support on my bike. Can't you just install the WHIM module and get the headsets?

why would you want to? just get the Senas they work great, and no wires.
I have heard of some folks with Street Glides buying the center tank strap from an Ultra off of Ebay or the BST forums. The connector for the rear would need to be mounted somewhere around the sissy bar mounts I think. I don't know if it is a straight plug in scenario or if more electronic wizardry is required.
This is what I found on Ebay:
2015 15 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic Touring OEM Gas Tank Console CB 61270-08
I don't know how you would track down the rear connection. Maybe your dealer could tell you what all would be involved in going that route.
I guess it depends on if you want the simplicity and reliability of the wired setup vs. the wireless headsets. If you ride with other folks that don't use CBs and want to communicate with them the wireless units seem like they would offer more flexibility.
