Dang, I haven't seen a Rockford amp marketed specifically for Harley's. The TM400x4ad they have been selling in the kit is a little light at 100 watts by four. I would hate to get stuck with something at 50x4.

Yup! You can buy this "primary" one for $499...and then for an additional $499, you can buy the "secondary" one to get another whopping 50 watts??
All I know is my boat came with a top line Rockford setup and it is a POS. Had to have the main unit replaced twice under warranty and it's firmware updated a bunch of times because it's buggy as heck. When it works it sounds good, but the functionality, awful.
if it sounds better than boom, and the folks who use it don't have to pay for blown speakers every coupla months, than they've taken a step forward
If they allow the tour pack to come off then its a huge step forward. My Ultra had the Boom 2 installed when I bought it so I cannot take the pack off.
The features listed sound interesting. This amp and some new RF speakers will be offered on the CVO Touring bikes this year. I'd be interested to know what those speakers are like and how this new system performs. Can't be worse than Boom II.
