Ok connected phone to the bike, and it works, sometimes, maybe. Siri is a fickle B. Go to country, and then to popular songs, and select one. It plays. Then say hey siri, next. MOST of the time she thinks for a few seconds, then changes to the next song in the list. Every once in a while....she says, "OK who do you want me to send it to?" ........???????

I have no idea where that domes from, but ok.

So, it does seem to be an app issue as far as xm. Sirius does not like iphones, but does like the androids, I guess.

Siri, will skip a song in a list of the "popular" songs, but if I select an album, she says we cannot do that thru amazon, or something to that effect. Maybe I am holding my mouth wrong, I dunno, but if anyone else figures it out, please post.

WOW, wow - I am so happy to hear that it is working most of the time for you.

We live in Michigan and it is not the riding season at all - so, now is the time that we plan our trips and get the bike things ready. Those bike things include getting the radio up to snuff. So, with the new bike coming home soon, I should have plenty of time to work on the radio features.

By the way, when you connected to the bike, were you talking to Siri by using the wireless headset? I know you have the WHIM - so, do you also have the Harley headset?

Yes I was using the Sena 20s Evo NON HD headset. From my understanding the ONLY difference, is you do not get true stereo IN THE HEADSET, when comparing HD to non. I listen to my music from the bike speakers, so that means nothing to me. One big thing I like about the non built in models, is I got another Sena clamp system for about $80 and I just unclip the main unit from one helmet and move it to the other. No need for dual systems. The only advantage, that I see, of your wired headset, is no running low on battery. You can plug them in to charge while riding, so you are connected, I guess, one way or the other.

Yea I get the winter weather thing. Grew up in and around Dayton-Columbus, OH. As a matter of fact, in the early 70's my brother used to live in Yipisilanti, just a bit southwest of you. My folks used to have a cabin on a lake north of Sault Ste Marie, called Echo Lake. One year, around '73 on our way home from there, my brother decided he wanted to meet up with us and come back to Dayton area. He rode a Honda 750, no car, that ran anyway. Well, he was also sick, and it was raining. Nobody wanted him in the car, because he was sick, but they weren't going to make him ride. So you know who, gets to ride his 750 home in the rain, all the way to Dayton. I was due to head to West Germany, for uncle sam, in a week. Guess who was sick when HE got there........

I used to love to ride my little 1969, HD 125cc 2 stroke in the snow. Heck, I used to ride that sucker on frozen creeks. These were about 6 ft deep. Never said I was smart. Lol. I do always say, many of us were lucky to make it to adulthood.

Out here, its been raining for last several days. Today is clear, but rain again tomorrow. Good news is the temps, on clear days, are around 60-65. So no more frozen creek riding for this boy. When living in Hebron, around 8th grade, a neighbor across the street (was a mobile home park) had a Triumph Trophy, bored to 650, and every winter he used to strip that bike to the frame, and paint it a different color. He had an 8x8 shed that was his workshop, and used heat lamps to make it warm enough to paint. Lots of memories back east.

Bet you are excited to get started on the new bike. Dealers here, are offering NADA retail for any HD trade in for any new HD bike. But I am happy with my 14, especially the price. Momma is due for a new car (ya think? Hers is a 2005) so it will come before anything else. My truck is an '06, but it has many miles left in it. Diesel, with only 186K on it. With its tunes, its 450hp, and 800lbs tq, so its plenty for me. Put about 60K on it just pulling the 5th wheel.

Great info on the wireless headset - thanks. You are like me, I too use my speakers to listen to music.

Dayton, OH - I use to live in Dublin, OH - so, we visited Dayton a few times, Wright Patterson Air Force base. Kennedy's Air Force One is still there.

I smiled when you mentioned riding in the rain and the snow. Sounds like we were both a little crazy in our earlier days; thank goodness God watched out for us.

Germany - I remember those days too. I was Army, K-Town we called it. The Germans hated when we called Kaiserslautern K-Town - so, I started to refer to it by the correct name. Soon after, I started dating a beautiful young girl from Winnweiler, a town only a short distance away. When I PCS'd back then, I thought I would never see her again. We continued to stay ion touch by mail (phone calls were too expensive and e-mail didn't yet exist - lol).

Invited her to come visit one day - and, she never went back. yep, we got married and that was 41 years ago.

Good luck on the new vehicle for your wife. If you get a new GM product, send me a note before you get it. I may have some supplier discounts that I cna still provide (retired GM Exec). Also, apply for the GM card - at times you can get an additional $1000 discount
