When I search for resisters they are rated for 100 watts. Should I be looking at it from an AC voltage perspective if I wanted to wire these two 4ohm speakers together bridged ch 3&4

at 4 ohm

I see that diagram is from soundcertified.com. Did you see this article there? Lots of good info in it. One thing to note is that power resistors of 1/2 the rated power (about 8 ohms @ 600W if you wanted to bridge 3/4 at 4 ohms and 4 ohm resistors @ about 300W if running 3 & 4 as separate 2 ohm 600W channels) are BIG and pricey resistors (not to mention hard to find). Yes, there are ways to get around it (such as running multiple lower impedance resistors in parallel) but it's still not the optimum. This is why I would not normally take this approach unless absolutely necessary.
