It just seems easier to have a 2 ch amp for a 2 speaker setup.

I’ve noticed that the power rating on some of these amps is rated at 2 ohms so when you connect a 4 ohm speaker you get less wattage. I am looking to get 150-200 watts per channel @ 4 ohms.

and am thinking of yellow baskets which like power.

the sd evox 400.2 is 132w x 2 @ 4 ohms
stinger 350.2 is 125w x 2 @ 4 ohms

so i figured if i can find a 600 ish watt amp it should get me into the range i want.

You should be looking at 4 channel amps capable of bridging so you can double up the power for two channels. NVX has some decent ones.

Look at the SD400.4 EVOX and bridge the channels. That will give you 200W per channel.
