Amazon Apple Car Play Screens
That's interesting.
I'm glad I went with one that had a second power cord that plugs into a USB, put an adapter in my cigarette lighter and I'm done. It comes on with the ignition and doesn't go off if you have to restart it. Takes about 20 to 30 seconds to connect to your phone in your pocket.
The brand is Fuyuadas on Amazon - there are so many, I chose this one because of that additional power cord. I didn't have to hardwire it to the bike and in their reviews they seemed very responsive to problems.
And they were, I couldn't connect to one of my tire pressure monitoring system valves - and they sent me another!
You know I think you can buy that USB power cord alone that hooks up to the screen - they're all the same.
I love this thing some would say if you wanted all that high-tech buy a new bike instead of a 2008.
But for a hundred bucks you can't beat it.
LOVE the tire pressure monitoring system - you can even set .warnings for different air pressures. No reason to get on your hands and knees now.
Voice control is great and phone calls- even with the engine running but if you don't have an unlimited plan you'll sure eat up your data on that Amazon music streaming real quick.

Not just if I have offended you but the fact that I have offended you.
I have no excuse for the character flaw you have pointed out.
Just know that I will redouble my efforts to be a better person.
Thank you for pointing this out, if it weren't for people like you with nothing better to do I would never be able to improve myself.
I stand corrected and myself reprove.
It was actually the cameras that I mocked.
With the rear camera providing blind spot warning.
Blind spot on a motorcycle.
No, I like the TPMS thingies - I have them in my truck and thought yeah it'd be even better for my motorcycle.
As I rarely check air pressure in my four-wheel vehicles
But I find myself on my hands and knees checking my motorcycles all through the summer.
But if I ever did get a rear facing camera and a chance to experience a blind spot warning maybe I would change my mind about that.
I realize this may not be the right forum to talk about being open minded but...
I do reserved that right.

Just wanted to post an update if anyone was interrested. I have been using the screen with some bone conduction earphones and hearing protection ear plugs. I like the bigger screen as it makes it easier to make the touch controls work while wearing gloves. Also the map screen is easier to read than the map screen on my phone. Overall I would say I have had a good experience with this screen. If I was doing it from scratch again I might not wire it to the power outlet. When I turn on the ignition the screen powers up, but then when I hit the start button the screen will momentarily power down and then power back up. This cause a minor problem if you stall the bike and have to restart, as it causes the screen to cycle and restart. Other than that I have had to trouble with the screen and would recommend it to someone wanting to go in this direction.

My wife has a pair of Shokz bone conducting headphones. I tried them while using earplugs. It was amazing. The earplugs obviously did a much better job of blocking out wind noise, and exhaust noise, and the tunes sounded so much clearer.
Thinking about ditching the earbuds and going to this set up this season. Costco in Canada had the Shokz on for $99 Canadian a while back. I don't know if it's a regular item in the store or not.
Google Shokz, they are very slim, they fit very well with the half helmet and a three-quarter, but I don't know about a full helmet. They don't go in your ears at all.

I think it started with the 2014 "Mount Rushmore" project.
Or do most people really want these computer screens, riding "modes", hydrolic clutches and even ABS.
Yes some of us are probably just old grumpy guys holding on to the past but even without that is this stuff really selling?
My 25 year old neighboor loves his Kawasaki Ninja that lights up like a spaceship when he turns the ignition on - the screen goes thru all kinds of pretty colors and diagnostics.
And I saw an old man at the Harley dealership playing with his Harley screen out front while I took my time, put on my helmet and gloves started mine and left - not sure he was enjoying it though.

Offended me? Hell no, you just always bitch about "computer screens" on Harleys and the people that "need them" and then you go and buy one. Here is but one of your little nuggets: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/gener...t#post22219451
I wouldn't think to, let alone click on your name and investigate you.
But for all your research and cut and paste stalking you didn't find where I criticized the tire pressure monitor system that we were talking about in this Android Auto titled discussion.
And even if I had so what matbe now I like it?
Which isn't even the case and again so what.
But maybe a hobby other than investigating, analyzing and exploring other people's past posts that end up not even proving your premise of me mocking TPMS valvues in the Android Auto.
I wrote some pretty nice pieces about the Apollo space program in the 6th grade I would have liked to seen quoted.
But short of that maybe gardening, one of the textile arts like crocheting or a card game?
I keep bees, work on my motorcycles and enjoy the racetrack once in awhile - just some suggestions.
But stalkingg fills the time too I imagine.
I am pretty interesting aren't I?

I have a pair of Sony earbuds that fit very snug. So they act like earplugs, but yet I can still listen to my tunes through Bluetooth.

I can testify that the bone conduction headphones will not work with a full or 3/4 helmet. I can only use them with my half helmet. I have some in helmet blue tooth speakers in my full face helmet, but the bone conduction with the ear plugs seems to give me better sound. I wear the ear plugs inside my full face helmet also. Have always worn ear plugs because I worked in a high noise work place and wanted to always protect my hearing. I cheaped out on the helmet speakers so it is possible that by spending a little more money I would get just as good sound in my full face helmet as I do with my half helmet, Anybody got some reccomendations for some good blue tooth helmet speakers?

Good to know. Which brand of bone conduction units do you use? As far as in helmet speakers I just use the wired ones from Harley most of the time. I found out that with any helmet speakers having spacers behind them to put them up against your ears is key. It makes a world of difference in how they sound.
Kimwood 2022 open ear wireless bluetooth, seems the link isnt working
