Default Navigation not ready, Please wait.

I have a 2021 Ultra Limited and it has the Boom 6.5 GTS infotainment. It’s been working fine and no issues. It had the 2021 maps on it and the navigation worked fine. I received a email about updating the maps, so I paid the $150 and followed the instructions. I made a fingerprint using a USB formatted in fat 32, it’s a 16gb drive. I inserted the drive into my PC and opened Harley toolbox and created an account and it updated the USB with the current NA-MY2027-1 maps. I inserted the usb in my bike and it recognized the drive and asked me to update and it did. There were two packages that updated, once it was finished the radio rebooted. I went to the Navigation and it now doesn’t work. The screen says “Navigation not ready, please wait”. I trouble shot everything I could think of and read about online. The radio still works fine just not the nav. The system information for the nav all says unavailable. I reinstalled the software about 10 times and nothing, road the bike around, nothing, pulled the fuse, disconnected the battery, also I am no longer able to export a new fingerprint, it fails. I updated the Boom software to current. I took it to a dealer and they can’t figure it out, took it to a radio place they can’t figure it out either. I called Harley customer care and have a ticket in, but they are not helping me. I also asked for a refund and they said to be patient with them. It’s been three weeks. I tried a fingerprint from another bike and it didn’t work either. I also tried to roll back to an older (NA-MY2024) map and it installed but the nav will not come up. Any help would be appreciated. Please dont tell me to use my phone for Nav, I already know that. I paid $150 to update my maps and now it doesn’t work. I also reset the radio to three different rest options and the reset didn’t help but lose my settings. I’ve tried several thumb drive and also expat format as well. I dont think there are any other options I haven’t tried, but Im taking a shot with you guys. Thanks in advance.

You state "I also tried to roll back to an older (NA-MY2024) map and it installed but the nav will not come up"

Would it be possible to get back to a 2020/2021 navigation maps?
From a distance it reads like there was a corruption, communication or non-compatible concern.
Are you positive that your latest download is compatible with your older unit?

At this point I would want to go back to original and initiate a credit card dispute.
Then I would forget about future updates.

Forget it. I don’t need the help of this place. You are the dick. Admin go ahead and delete my account. I thought people would be helpful instead of complaining about my paragraph structure or telling me I shouldn’t revive old threads. Very helpful. If you didn’t read it, then don’t reply.

For some reason, several of us have had difficulty installing the new map updates. I have the very issue about 2 years ago.

If I recall, I missed clicking something when I downloaded the entire maps. It was something small - but when I found it, it resolved the matter.

If the maps were not installed, you should have the fingerprint still available on your bike. Do you remember how to get to the fingerprint again?

Once you have that, go back to the maps system and make sure you have a complete download. Just make sure you read everything and click all of the boxes.

Once you have the entire download, put that back into your drive on the bike and just let it run. It will take some time - but, let it run.

Thanks for the reply. When I try and do the fingerprint it fails and says “Export Failed”.

Thanks.

By the way, you mentioned that you tried to use the export from another bike - if I recall, these maps are bike specific - so, another bike will not work for you.

Take the drive you had an try to download the maps again. Just review and read carefully, there was one thing that I missed and once I clicked it, all worked out well.
