Speaker Cutting Out
The bike is a 2012 CVO Street Glide, so I know that it is a different animal as far as the audio is concerned. The speaker in the left saddlebag lid works sometimes and doesn't work sometimes. It has a plug for the wires where it hooks up to the speaker. If I unplug it and plug it back in, it works again. If I shut it off and turn it back on, it doesn't work unless I unplug it and plug it back in again. I changed the connector and same thing. I tried a different speaker and the same thing. The connector to the rear speakers in the fairing is good. Just to cover all of the bases, I few weeks ago, I upgraded the sound system, but just in the front. I put a new amp in and new speakers for the fairing and the lowers. I don't thing that is the problem. The plug into the head unit is good. Could it be the head unit or any other ideas? Thanks.
Are the speakers you changed out the same ohms? If not, you have created an impedence problem, and the speakers will cut out because of problem it creates in the head unit. Was this happening prior to the swap? With the limited information provided, this would be the possible solution.
