Ok here is the deal I have a 2015 RGS stage 1 audio and I want speaker lids is there a plug n play option I can do. I like the way mine sounds just want a couple more speakers
No there isn't. You need an amp fellas.....there's no way you are going to pump out enough volume from your head unit to push some 6X9's. Also if your bike isn't set up for 4 speakers there isn't going to be a set of wires running to the back of your bike. Gotta run the wires.
Plug and play is a marketing gimmick to get you to pay more for crap. Instead spend the extra money and have someone install legit audio gear.

+1 Got to have an amp on the 6x9's in the lids. Now Vtwin audio has a rear speaker wiring kit for the 14's and up but you still need to amp the speakers.

correct - buddy of mine used the VTwin harness. fairly simple, but you NEED an AMP. and magic box or flash (NOPE, not going to make any suggestions here, there are PLENTY of threads going on here about Rushmore's audio and the Sh.t happening with it )

There are plug and play kits. HD makes one, J&M, etc... Depends on what you have and all?
There may be plug and play...but you won't be as happy as you would if you listen to Gan, Haze, or AAWAV. These guys have helped a ton of people put smiles on their faces! Myself included!!

If you do decide to not use an amp, be sure your 6x9 speakers impedance match those of the radio. I can't say with any certainty since I don't have a late model bike, but I think I've seen on here where it's 1 ohm and not the usual 2 or 4. Perhaps someone with more smarts than me will chime in. If you do go with an amp, then head unit impedance won't matter and most amps are 2 or 4 ohm stable.
