Upgrade Help!
Hi Forum!!
I was hoping for some help, I have quickly learned that audio options and just as hard as handlebars because of the flood of information and huge product pool.
So what I have now is a 2012 Road Glide Custom, I have the Hog Tunes REV 70.2 set up in it now and the gauge mount tweeter pod. The speakers are 5x7s and i think the amp is 70 Watts per channel.
It was obviously a huge upgrade off stock but now 2 years later I have found that I need a better set up. So my question is am I better off going with a kit or piecing it together? I like the RF RF300x4-SS set up with Yaffie and putting the extra set on the inside of the faring tunnel and keeping my tweeter pod.
I also want to make sure that it is a water proof (as much as possible) because I get hung out in the rain fairly often.
I appreciate the feed back and hope I am not the 384th person to ask this same question.

You're actually number 383 so you're in luck for answers! LOL
if you're dissapointed in what you have now, you'll no doubt be dissapointed if you go the route of the RF PBR300x4-SS kit.
These plug and play setups are nothing more than a convenience but they come at 2 costs. 1. $$ and 2. lack of performance
There are a LOT better options out there in the aftermarket world that will achieve a LOT better results and most of the time for a LOT less $$. Take a look around in the audio forum and see what people are doing...

If you check out the ' ROADGLIDE' forums, there are a bunch of guys adding the inner, inner fairing speakers. Don't think they're using the same components that'll be recommended here though !
ok Ill Check out whats happening over there.
Has anyone had any experience with the Hawg Wired DX 5x7" Componets?
Since I already Have the adapters for the 5x7 I thought I would go with those, the DX 5.25" on the inner faring, and a PBR 300x4 for an amp.
Thoughts?
