Just wanted to ask...what speakers are you guys running in the rear pods? I've asked before and didn't really get much in the way of answers. I know the Infinity fits with a spacer ring...any decent speakers that will fit in there without using a spacer? I don't want to buy stock Harley stuff. Thanks!

Default polyfill and flash

Ok I have read through this thread and purchased my audio upgrade. RF PBR300x2, CS DSP(magic box)& wiring kit and Infinity Kappa 6.5 62.11i speakers. I still don't know if I need a dealer flash since I have the magic box and what is the verdict on filling the pods with polyfill? Thanks in advance.

Hey
It's the age-old question which flash to make this infotainment system work properly.I have a 2014 limited with 2 Hawg Wired amps and 4 hawg wired speakers. I had a hawg wired amp and speakers on my 2012 street glide and that thing rocks..but on the 2014 it is so sad...Very disappointed with it.. . I have been told that it is all about the new system setup. I would appreciate any help from y'all. . Thanks

you don't want a flash combined with the magic box.

polyfil is a requirement on all of my installs regardless of whether folks understand it's intended use.

Do not wrap speakers in pods or lowers. 1 thin layer laid inside the pod/lower is all that's needed.

gotta be careful with these flashes now and find a dealer tech that absolutely knows what he's doing. As I've stated in a couple of other threads here and on other forums.. HD has released software updates for the head units as well as new flashes for the digital tech in preparation for the Boom 2 crap. These flashes are causing all kinds of issues even on the pre 15 bikes where they appear to flash properly but don't, when they do flash properly they wind up breaking other features and functions such as fader and eq settings. This whole flash thing is a total clusterf*ck!!

Would it be OK to drill a 1 1/4" hole in the lower part of the pods and push some polyfil in the bottom? Then tape the hole or leave it open?
Don't really want to remove the pods again.

Hey guys,I'm new here but did read all 123 pages..
I've got a 14 limited...looking to bump up my audio..
Likely go with 2 magic boxes and skip any flash problems
2 questions
Pros and cons of 2 pbr300x2 vs 1 pbr300x4

And.
If I'm using kicker cs674s in the rear..
Is there any reason to use the infinity Kappa's In the front instead of cs674s?

I would not drill holes in these pods. remove the speakers and loosely fit the bottom portion of the pod with polyfil.

If you must drill holes, I would use an epoxy to seal them back up when done

Ok no holes. The next time I have the pods off I'll add some polyfil.
