Default Help!!!!

im still wrestling with my RF 300x2 and polks.

my friend has a 2015 FLHX 4.3 radio
he asked me to spec an upgrade for him.
the budget is $1200
he is getting rear spkr lids.

Replacing the head unit is an option as long as hand controls still work.

What to buy?

AMP
SPKRS
HEAD UNIT

I figure swapping head unit will get best results, but also considering a JM amp with stock head unit. tell me what to do because Im ready to kill myself over my own upgrade

I too went with the full cycle sounds set up with magic box. You still notice a difference in sound with the bike off compared to running but it is not a big difference any more. I tried just the speakers first but lost all bass while bike was running without the box.
Hogpilot54, they have a 30 day money back guarantee so the only thing you would be out is your time if you are willing to try.
Ultra2014, cylcesounds.com for amp, speakers and grills for the front, and magic box. I bought the rear speaker harness from v-twin audio along with their remote turn on wire that made it plug and play, just run new wires from amp to front speakers, no fade control with the magic box. Customer service and support were great. Hope this helps.

Same speakers, use stock grills on tour pack. The grills were a tight fit and may be touching the tweeters but I could not tell for sure. Cycle Sounds said they would drop right in so I just put them in. It doesn't seem to affect the sound so I am not too worried.

Hey all, had anyone tried a digital processor such as the audison bit one, jl cleansweep, or rf 3sixty?
I am wondering why something like this might or might not work?

MontyCop05 was supposed to be trying the JL Audio Cleansweep but haven't heard back from him on it.

It is amazing how all over the board this problem is. My install was easy and the front and rear speakers work perfect on my 14 street glide special. I didn't do any flash or update and it sounds great, even the girlfriend says it rocks on the backseat. I do have version 1.17.4 and am nervous to upgrade that because my volume control and everything else works perfectly fine. The only thing I would be missing with the update is the ability to do multiple points on the GPS but I don't use it for that anyway.

Has anyone with an aftermarket setup and working flash updated to the new 1.19.0 version yet?

My RF 300x2 and Infinity Kappas sound great now after using the recommended flash on the JM website and I'm worried it will get wiped or modified with the new version.

I'm mainly wanting to try the high contrast settings because the RG screen is so hard to see in the sunlight.
