KingNutZ
I must start out by saying thanks to UltraNutZ, Pioneer74 and a few others on the forum for helping me with my Road King audio install. System sounds great!! However, I feel like I need a little bit more sound in my face. My current set up is a Soundstream Pn4.520d Amp, Biketronics BT479 6"X9" in saddle bags and Titan II 6.5" in lower fairings. I love my windshield and do not want to get a fairing for my bike. What do you guys thinks about adding the hog tunes handlebar mounted speakers? They are only 2" vs the bigger more bulky 3.5" or 4" alternatives so the bike stays a bit cleaner. Should I use the included amp or is there a way to run off the Soundstream amp. I am using all 4 channels of the amp to set the front and rear gains separately.
Will this put quality sound in my face or would this be a waste of time and money. Thoughts?
Thanks!

Wow. Can't believe handlebar speaker systems cost that much.
They would certainly give you more sound behind the windshield. I would run them off the supplied amp. I don't think they would handle the power off the
Soundstream.
One of these days in the Summer, me and you have to meet up. I know you said you live by where I work. Would love to see the bike and how you installed everything.

If I was not going to add the little hogtunes bullet speakers to keep things clean, I would consider adding the Biketronic BT476 4" speakers to a set of passing lamps turned backwards mounted low on my bars. Something like this: http://www.vtwinaudio.com/store/prod...onversion-kit/ but on the bars. I'm concerned that those would be too big and too much going on up front giving the bike a clunky look.

Do you guys know how I would tie into the handlebar volume control on the boom handlebar speakers or the like so that not only the handlebar speakers work, but the SS amp and BT speakers work too? This way, i set all the gains separately but have one volume control so I don't need to fiddle around with the volume on the ipod AND the handlebar volume.

Do both use the iPod for the source? Split it coming out of the ipod and turn the handlebar volume up until it distorts. Kinda like setting the gains on an amp. Then when you adjust the volume on the iPod, it affects both.
Yes, source is ipod for both. That's what I was going to do but I'd like it to be reverse. I'd like to adjust volume on the bars to affect both. My goal is to not fiddle with the ipod. I can set it up as you described and use a Bluetooth remote affixed to my bars but then I'd have just one more thing to clutter the bars up.
