Default Should I be Concerned?

Hiyas ... I've been drooling over the Electra Glide Limited for years and am now seriously considering buying a 2015. Been riding for almost 50 years but never owned a Harley. Currently ride a 2013 Victory Cross Country Tour which I bought new. Also have a 2005 Yamaha Roadie.

Looking for feedback on things I might need to be concerned about with the Ultra down the road. What problems are folks experiencing? Warranty recalls? Anything you can offer up is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Default Limited

I have a 14 FLHTK and it has been absolutely reliable thru the 27,000 km's I have on it. Did the few recalls on it not because i had any problems but because it was at the dealer already for some minor service. No regrets at all and wouldnt hesitate to recommend. GR8 bike. Go for it!!

I bought a brand new Yamaha Roadie in 2009 but went to a 2009 Harley Street Glide in 2011. The ride difference is incredible with the Harley, especially with the 6 speed transmission on long trips. Just one piece of advice. Always replace parts with Harley OEM. I learned a hard lesson by purchasing an aftermarket Ultima starter. The shaft on the cheap chinese made piece of junk broke and fell into my primary compartment and caused a $1000 damage. You will love the ride of the Harley. Good choice!!

Money! These things are money pits! First it's pipes, then air cleaner and then tuner. Then you put some chrome, some speakers, lights and on and on and on. J.K.! If you buy a '15 all the issues with the first ones should be taken care of. I personally would try and get a used '14 and extended warranty. That should save you some money and maybe give you an added accessoryor two. Good luck!

Like ultraboy said try find a 14 with low miles then put extended warranty on it. I bet you could find one that someone has already put on stage 1 and a pipe for a good deal. I have a 2014 SG stage 1 V/H pro pipe bike runs well I have put on over 20.000k and you can't wipe the smile off my face every time I ride! Good luck Good riding.

I was searching for something I liked for awhile then I found my 14 in amber whiskey. Bought it considering the good old Harley banter, just figure most of my buddies are just cheap. Anyhow outside of the stated money pit of the hundred dollar club pipes, lowering the stereo and some other tweaks. I love it and have absolutely no regrets.

You should be more concerned about Whoopie Goldberg moving to Canada when Trump wins POTUS.
