Analog / Digital Speedo

Hello, still looking for anyones insight/ expertise on installing a 95-98 FXDWG Dynawide Glide #67179-95 speedo on a 1989 FXRS-LR. Tranny does not have a sensor port so I need to mount some speed sensor on the rear tire . Any one ever done this??
