And I thought Ontario rates were high. I guess I can't complain anymore.

This is without a doubt the most short sighted and stupid idea I have ever seen. SGI will, in a single day, crush the motorcycle industry in Saskatchewan.

They backed off on the massive rate hike as far as I know. Looks like 6.4% increase starting in August.

It never ceases to amaze me how we Canadians are getting continually screwed by government and big business. I can't imagine where it will all end. It's absolutely insane!
Think we have the ***** to be the next Ukraine? Not likely.

Yea im in the same boat as your buddy with his sg

Oh and don't forget about saskatoons new bilaw about the noise for motorcycles, but I mean forget about all those big jacked up rig pig diesels with no exhaust at all, lets get those bikes

Make sure that only people with 100k a year salaries are able to ride them

maybe I can find a nice Honda rebel 250 and use that, but then again that might be 1000$ a year to insure as well

The rates went up 15% in August of 2013 and SGI is asking for another 6.4% increases this August. Join everyone at the Saskatchewan Rate Review Panel meetings at the Delta hotels April 7 in Regina and April 9 in Saskatoon, at 7:30 PM. With enough pressure they backed off from the original rate increase in 2013.
My Ultra limited was going to increase 45% in August 2013 but enough people screamed and it was capped at 15% for bikes with insurance cost over 15%. This time around they are asking for a general rate increase for everyone and the bikes are included at 6.4%. Right now if I register my 2013 Ultra Limited for the year it would be over $2100. Come to the review panel meetings and show your support for fighting the rate increase again this year. It worked last year, we can do it again.
