Default Best air filter for S&S super Carb?

So i have a S&S super Carb on my LedSled Custom Harley. It has the red K&N filter with it. Ive never been a fan of oiled filters. But honestly whats the best filter for this set up? Should i get one of the dry flow filters or just stick with the K&N?

S&S makes a 106-4724 air filter that is wider but you need the extension kit as well. They are supposed to breath better. I have the k&n one that is washable then oiled. I've had it for years... Works very well..

Yea don't know where i got that number from. Scott has it right. Sorry.....

I don't like the oiled filters either. I am running the standard S&S filter on both my bikes. I ran the wide S&S on the FXR for a while but got tired of the lack of knee clearance with no butt dyno performance gain. Looked kind of hot roddy though.
Here is what I use and where I get them from http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B...ilpage_o03_s00

Just looked into that filter. Its actually a full inch wider. Which would make it stick out a lot more. Wonder if it would get in the way of my right leg while riding? Also if it allows for greater air flow would the carb need adjusting?

I have no issues with my leg hitting it and it is possible that the main jet might have to be stepped up a notch for wide open throttle at high rpm only. Everything else should be ok...

For those of us with more modest engines than those that Scott prepares, the standard width should be fine, which is what I use on the G that came with my S&S 107".

And that filter that Graham has mentioned works well also.
