Most shitkickers that roll on these bikes barely know a damn thing about motorcycles or riding in general. I know a guy that bought a Big Dog and has had nothing but problems with it. Not to mention, you never EVER get what you pay for it back......ever....not even close. The Big Dog I mentioned before bought at ~40k trade-in value 12k, wtf is up with that. At least harleys hold some of their value and have the potential to appreciate (way waaaaaaaaay down the road. We're talkin like 50 years or so)

Buy a Harley. Better resale, better dealer support network, more collectable.

In my opinion. For 20K you can buy a new dresser with all the bells and whistles.

As long as you ride, whatever the make, is cool with me.

I have no brand loyalty. I do like to customize my own stuff though.

Do a little goggle search recently closed motorcycle manufacturers . It's another boxed " custom " bike like a whole slew of others in the last 15 yrs these places don't last over 6yrs on the average max most close in 4 .

haha i just laugh when i see the guys with new harleys and head toe in harley gear. talk to em and realize they dont know a thing about bikes and just have a lot of money to throw around. i understand being pround of the bike you ride, i have a couple harley t-shirts but thats about it, just dont take it to extremes you look like a total nerd

I think of this every time I see a "Harley Guy" in leathers.

Not practical for what? My Ironhorse gets me to the dropzone (3hrs riding) every weekend and I am able to strap all my skydiving gear to the sissy bar. I doubt I would ever ride it more than a few hundred miles or so anyway. Its not practical for that?

Buy chopper used, have a LOT cooler looking bike and spend a LOT less money that putting some bolt on stuff that really doesn't make your stock Harley look much different anyway.
