Default Chrome push rod covers etc.

Any good tips on polishing chrome in tight places, ie the pushrod covers? I have some oxidation, bought used bike, that I have to get after. Hard to get in some of those areas.

Detailing floss...basically soft rope. But put your favorite chrome polish on it and wrap it around the pushrod cover and do your best shoe shine boy imitation.

Get the long detailing swabs Harley sells. Dab some chrome polish on the end. Cut an old microfiber towel into small pieces. Wrap the end of the swab with those pieces to buff residue. Go to town.

Yeah but it's going to take some friction to get that oxidation, lack of better term, off of there. I'm starting to think maybe small buffer wheels and drill?

If you have a dremel , they offer plenty of polishing wheels that may be able to help you get in those tight spaces , just be careful when using anything with high speed , it could leave blemishes in the chrome .

Just keep the dremel on low speed and take your time .

I get it , I'm a chrome junky myself .

I do, I'm going to see what I have for tips. It's not powerful, just have to make sure no metal hits. Slow and easy. This bike I got is beautiful but previous owner did not take care of it like I do and will. Chrome is EASY to take care of, no reason to see oxidation unless you keep it in a shed in the winter and don't know how to protect it.
