Default Lower my wideglide

Hi, I just purchased a 2014 dyna wideglide and was looking to lower it a little. Anyone used the burley kits and how were they? Thanks Zach

Welcome from another Washingtonian!

The Burly slammers are low, reeeeal low. Too low for my style of riding at least. I went with the Progressive Suspension fork lowering kit and rear shocks that are 12", which is 1" less than stock for me.

I rode my brother in laws bike with 10.5" rear shocks and it was like riding a hardtail with a frying pan for a seat.

Lowering the front is easy and free. You can just loosen the triple-clamps and slide the fork tubes up in the trees. And unlike lowering the rear, you won't lose any suspension travel.

Ordered my Burly kit yesterday. Here's a thread I started and like the feedback so I went with it. Excited I am.

I dropped the rear of mine with the Burly shocks. Those coupled with a 2" tank lift, and low profile seat gave me the look and riding position I wanted....I didn't want the whole thing slammed.

I did the same thing with mine. Burly Slammers on the rear and a home made tank lift. Left the front alone. The shocks ride about like stock in my opinion. Those with the tank lift give it that raked look.
