Default Burley Slammer 2-up?

Love the look of the Burly Slammer kits, and would love to put it on my 14 SB. BUT, am I correct in assuming that 2-up riding isn't going to happen with it? Me and my wife aren' big folks(Me 168lbs, her like 115), and she rides periodically. If so guess I'll just put some 1" blocks in the rear.

You'll lose a bunch of suspension travel with those shocks, and blocks won't get it back.
Be prepared for a very harsh ride.

No, I meant maybe blocks instead of the Slammers. Thinking maybe just go with some blocks as they are a 1" drop versus the Slammers 2" drop. Curious if anyone had any Burly Slammer 2-up riding experience.

I used to run them. The look was cool. The ride not so much.. however, I did ride 2-up with about 20-30 pounds less combined weight. Two clicks on the pre-load adjustment and it wasn't too bad.

I'm probably close to you 2 in combined weight. I don't think the ride is that bad. I feel it is almost the same as the factory shocks.

Probably same weight here too and ride two up all the time. Yes it is harder but I think they do loosen up after a short while and now neither of us really notice it. I wouldn't have them on if I used the bike for long distances though.

I just don't want to be scrubbing the tire in the fender every bump I hit is my fear.

You shouldn't. They have stops built in.

The Burleys have about the same compressed length as stock, so they should bottom out before the tire rubs the fender. There's a much higher chance of rubbing with lowering blocks.

Like others have said, you will not bottom out. I bounced up and down on my seat to try to get it to and no way in hell would it happen.
If you get them off of Amazon or the like they are inexpensive. If you don't like them you can take them off pretty easy and get some money back by selling them. I do not think you will be disappointed though.
If you do get them send Burly a pic of your bike with them on and they will send you a shirt!!
