Default sprocketing

im wanting to change the drive ratio for my 2011 fat bob is there a "best way" or safest way to do it was thinking dropping a tooth on the front pully or maybe sprockets not sure yet

You can put a 68t pulley from a sportster on the rear. Easier to swap out.

I've got one waiting to go on my bike.

wouldn't I see more acceleration with a tooth drop off of front pully

More teeth on the rear has the same effect.

how many rear equal one on the front, and at what point do you change belts

I did the EVO industries 30 tooth sprocket and been real happy with it. A lot of people shy away from it because you lose the compensator but I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

if I remember dropping one tooth on the front equals 3 teeth higher on the rear, larger rear sprocket faster acceleration less top speed

I'm a 30 tooth trans sprocket and I still use the highways. The city streets are a lot of fun too, just as I wanted them to be.

a 30 tooth sprocket will I be able to keep the compensating sprocket. not wanting to go to solid. with a 30 tooth should I be able to keep the factory belt. or do I need a new short one
