Default air ride which shocks

I dont know which shocks to get. The monroe or the gabriel hijackers. I know i want black shocks. But the moroes arent black and the gabriels are. But do the monroes outperform enough to spend the extra dim to powder coat them?

Please help me decide guys attached are the pictures of the shocks im looking at. If anyone has a suggestion for another brand feel free to chime in too

The monroe ma785's are black. Mine were not painted when they were aired all the way up so I repainted them.

x 2

When I ordered mine they were pictured white with no choice of color. Everything I could find online said they were black so I took the chance.
I do recommend buying from your local auto parts store though. Then if they ever fail it will be easy to warranty them. I only paid $3 more than the online price. Just my 2 cents.

I don't know how they compare, but the Monroe's are good. What is the warranty on the Gabe's ? Mon's are lifetime.

IMHO since they are made for an automobile that weighs considerably more than a bike, the chance of them working hard enough to fail is slim. I think if you're going to have a failure with either brand it will be due to a manufacturing defect & it will show up very quickly.

I think ur mistaken. These shocks are 65 dollars. Not 650. All the parts needed will total about 250. and the time needed to instal .
