anyone buy any genuine Harley Parts based on the photos they have on thier sites and recieve something different? I bought a Combo Speedo/Tach from a Harley site and they have one clearly pictured in the discription as marked in mile per hour incriments.Also written in the description it states that it shows "miles to empty".I receieve a speedo that is in Kilometers.Now I look at the website and see I'm probably going to have trouble returning it because they state Speedos as a "No Return" Item! WTF!!!

 

Is it one of the digital ones? I thought there was a way to change those.

 

yes its a combo model with both speedo and tach analog meters and a digital window.They have seperate model for mph and kph yet used the mph picture on the page advertising the kpm model.There is no selection buttons or tabs in the ordering process that allows selection.Its a complete different page.

That sucks too cuz they don't take that stuff back.

 

Try calling to explain...if you haven't mounted on bike they should take back. If not, try to sell it to an overseas member...worth a shot. Good luck!

 

If it has not been installed they may let you exchange it for you. But there will be a return charge.
If you just got it try but if it has been a while forget it. I exchanged one but they ordered the wrong one. I caught it before I left.
Which one did you actually get?
There are 3 different ones. One can be changed from km to mph.
I know the one I have will.
Is it a 4 inch or 5 inch speedo?

that is how I was tought to write it.KMH appeared to be a combiniation of Kilometers and Miles per hour to me.As in the car speedoes that list both on the same dial.Clearly the dial shows miles perhour and the discription spells outh MILES to empty.So those 2 indications could easily leed one not familiar at all with kilometers to believe the dial was for miles and not kilos....

I did install it and removed it as soon as I realizede it with ZERO miles being put on it.It never left my garage.
