This. Looks like it would almost fix your alignment issue.

OMW to Home Depot right now - they open at 8 on Sun. I used a 19mm wrench on the nut, so it's got to be a 1/2" or 12mm bolt. I'll buy washers in both sizes. Common, so hopefully they'll have them. But... Home Depot always seems to manage to disappoint, so who knows.

On the exhaust, any ideas on the size of the washers I'll need to shim it out?

(If course I didn't look before leaving....)

Thanks

Probably about the same, but that's just a guess.

Done! I 1/2" SS washer on the inside and three on the outside on both sides and they are straight. Happy at the ease of the fix, yet still disappointed at the need for extra parts from the Ohlins kit. Oh well. All's well in the end.

Now, the 24 hour locktite cure time be dammed, I'm going riding. 45deg and cloudy, but no more snow or salt on the roads and no rain in the forecast! Oohra!

Thanks all for the help.

If you strike out at Home Depot, try Ace Hardware. They have a fastener section of just about anything you can imagine...much more selection than Home Depot. I used aluminum spacers when I had Sway Aways. I think had a 5/8" I.D., but they were cheap enough that I bought various sizes and just did a little trial/error until the alignment was right.

Glad it worked out. The kits aren't one size fits all. Most tears will need to be finessed to achieve proper alignment.

Enjoy! These shocks are like butter.

They really are great. Just put a hundred on, and now I hate my fronts. God help me if I talk myself into Ohlins cartridges...
