Default 7" headlight FXDF conversion swap

After a few days of research, I'm set my heart on the 7" style headlamp for my 2013 Fat Bob. My question for everyone is, which bucket/headlight combo would you recommend? I've seen several different set ups, the Fat Boy seems to be most popular, but I'm not sure I like how far forward it sits. Are there any other options you would reccommend? Or just make my own mounting block to pull the bucket in towards the tank? I would like to do this mod without spending $400, but I also want something safe for the road. Thanks in advance

I love mine. Frenched trim ring because the Truck-lite LED housing sticks out about 1/4 inch. I probably do need to pull it in with a different mounting block.

Adjure make a 7" bucket for around $60 similar to the fatbob. Not very deep but sort of plain. Little powder coat and it would look better. I went with a bullet style 7". Yes it does look bigger. Getting powder coated right now. Once its coated I will see how it looks. There are give and take going bigger. Sacrifice a sleeker lower profile light for better performance with a bigger housing. If you ride a lot at night its well worth it. With the phase 7 you can't get much better in lighting.

Look at some of the headlamp mounts Headwinds offer, they quit a few different options.

Drag Specialties makes a Fat Boy style 7" in either chrome or black powder coat, fairly cheap but decent quality.
