Use your brakes
Both of them. I've seen people posting about just using the front brake... Bad habit.
The problem with just using the front during normal riding, is that in an emergency thats all you'll grab. The rear brake may not do much stopping, but it helps keep the bike straight in an emergency stop.

Never heard of any of them.....I've survived for 45 years on motorcycles so far.
Use both and stomp on it....oh wait I have abs and don't have to think! Lol
On a more serious note...on my sportbike I only use my front and a grab a nice handful, but on these tanks, both brakes are a better option. To each their own but that's my experiencing from racing sportbikes to riding my tank of a dyna. Get abs and it's dummy proof to use both.

There's a time and a place for both brakes...the key is to know when and where. A blanket statement of use both always is bullshit. Some of us can control panic....hell, I've got abs too....it's built into my right index and middle fingers

Well, the rear brake is more than capable of stopping your bike under normal circumstances...
That being said both are on the bike for a reason and should be used accordingly, as each situation is presented to you during your riding.

There's so much weight transfer to the front wheel during straight-line maximum braking, that sometimes it's best to leave the rear brake alone to keep the wheel rolling (depending on the bike). Using habitual amounts of front-rear bias will be pretty useless and dangerous.
Hard braking in a corner is a little different.
