I was like, O' lord do I really want to open this? Expecting to see the same Ol' same Ol'....It's apparent you've put a lot of work and thought into the build.Great job!
When done right, like you have here, these look great. I love the look you achieved with the classic chrome, and black.
I think I saw you near the Sonoma Square in early Fall. I'll defiantly keep an eye out when I'm over there, because I'd love to see this in person.
Thanks Max
Looked a little different last fall-finally evolved to what we have today.
Heres what you may have seen as I frequent the plaza area often.
Fat bob trees and stock street bob forks minus a few items. I really couldn't run without the shield as it had an incomplete look, but now with the softail front end, I nearly rode to work yesterday with no shield but glad I didn't. I live in Sonoma and work in Napa leaving a 6:30am. Soupy Fog!
The SOA reference is of course a joke. I bought this bike in 2007 brand new-and maybe 1 or 2 guys on this forum had the ¼ fairing on the narrow glide FXD's. I really liked that style and you'd see maybe one or two dyna's that style if you cruised into the city (San Francisco for the folks out of state). My buddy's rode softails, baggers and sportsters. Seems like I was the only Dyna guy. Heres a pic of my bike from years ago. Eventually got blacker and ran low rider wheels for a while. Scott from WCTbars delivered my bars personally, my bike is or was one of the original examples on his web site.
Soon after the TV show came out this style exploded and I got older and wanted to head a different direction. My bike has nearly 50k miles and still runs strong. 2007 was a good year for the twin cams. Plan to keep it till I can't ride anymore. Wife has her own sportster so I'm done with two up riding.
Thanks for all the kind comments and I need to tip my hat to the guys in the following social group. I'd like to take credit for the style but this is where most of my ideas came from. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/group...est-group.html
I love this style Dyna build. To be honest, I was expecting them to skyrocket with the release of the Switchback, but that doesn't seem to be case. With a couple noteable exceptions, the best throwback Dyna builds seem to start with Street Bob's. Like yours for example. Go figure.
Kudos!

Bikerlaw-Harley seems to be getting ideas from this forum right? Always one step behind. With the Lowrider S after the fact maybe?
They have the Forty eight and the Seventy two. They came out with the switchback well after the FL dyna group had been established. Maybe they'll wise up and come out with a special addition Switchback with wire wheels, whitewalls and a little more gingerbread-maybe two tone black and white and retro tank badges.... They can call it the Fifty nine or Sixty one.
Theres one for the marketing department to do a study on.
I went to the Hollister Run this past summer and the Polaris bikes basically sponsored the whole thing. In my opinion Harley still has better fit and finish. I wish they'd wise up and start listening to us before another dealership folds.

Oh dear Lord. If they did that, I would be SO SCREWED!
I promised both myself and my wife that my King was my last new motorcycle. And when that two tone white/turquoise Heritage came out..... I almost lost my mind. If they release that Switchback with similar paint, spokes, wide whites, and some actual chrome, I truly fear I would succumb and wind up deep in the dog house. It would be bad.... but in a good way, lol.
