This is what I had envisioned. Titanium nut and washer. 316 axle with .242" wall

I like your move to O.D. threads....Gives the threads much higher load capability. With your .750" diameter axle and internal threads you were looking a very small screw O.D. and a thin wall diameter.

Yeah. The numbers don't lie. The male threaded "nut" would have failed long before reaching proper torque. I'm too used to 17-4PH I guess. 316 is like half as strong.

I considered doing a perimeter spline drive similar to yours (I watch a lot of GT2/3 racing where they use them) but ultimately wanted something smoother.
