Yeah. The numbers don't lie. The male threaded "nut" would have failed long before reaching proper torque. I'm too used to 17-4PH I guess. 316 is like half as strong.
I considered doing a perimeter spline drive similar to yours (I watch a lot of GT2/3 racing where they use them) but ultimately wanted something smoother. |
