So, I went with what I hope will work. A tank off a dyna 2009 I think. Possibly a wide glide. Hope the hell it fits! Thanks guys for the imput.

 

If you are planing on mounting the speedo in the center of the tank, you will probably need the tank that has the fuel gauge on one side and the fuel cap on the other side.

 

That's kind of an expensive/extensive mod when there are a dozen ways to do it with the bars and gauge mounts, but hey, if you're that motivated, I'd like to see the finished project! Good luck.

 

Tank swap would be the cleanest option for sure. Post up some pics when your done!
